Office profile: Bulgaria - overview

Bulgaria is a hive of business activity. With its privatisation programme, NATO membership and recent EU accession, more and more businesses are steering their investments towards Bulgaria.

Negotiating with the Bulgarian Government and overcoming complex political and legal hurdles requires tenacity and stamina. Equally, getting access to appropriate on-the-ground legal support is not easy.

To support clients active in Bulgaria, CMS Cameron McKenna established a project office in Sofia in February 2005. CMS alliance member, CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz Rechtsanwälte GmbH, also has offices in the same location.  In January 2006 our Sofia office merged with Eastern European commercial law firm Hayhurst Robinson. The merger truly reflects the commitment the firm has to the region and its future development.
