CMS Cameron McKenna advises owners of Pinnacle Real Estate on sale
19.05.2008
CMS Cameron McKenna advised the owners of Pinnacle Real Estate, US investment bank Merrill Lynch through its Global Principal Investments group and the Pinnacle founders, on the sale of Pinnacle Real Estate to Arcapita, a Bahrain-based investment fund. The deal included 230,000 square meters of leased warehouses and a land bank of almost 1.5 million square metres for future development.
The transaction involved acquisitions in four Central and Eastern European countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Bulgaria), Luxembourg, and English and local law documentation. Such a complex transaction required considerable project management as well as legal skills.
The CMS Cameron McKenna team was lead by Corporate Partner Helen Rodwell and Real Estate Partner, Hilary McDowell, assisted by Corporate associate, Kveta Vojtova.
The deal highlights that depth and breadth of CMS Cameron McKenna, with lawyers and infrastructure in place to provide seamless commercially focused legal advice across the main CEE jurisdictions. In an increasingly difficult market, the owners of Pinnacle Real Estate were able to dispose of this portfolio in line with their strategy. This transaction has cemented the firm’s position as the number one ranking real estate firm in the region.
