Solicitor Anna qualified as a solicitor in Hungary, joining CMS Cameron McKenna’s Budapest office in 1999. She transferred to London in January 2005.“I am currently taking the Qualified Lawyers’ Transfer Test to become a solicitor qualified in England and Wales, for which the firm is paying all my costs. I’m also taking the internal Senior Solicitors Development Programme which takes around two years to complete. The programme kicked off with four one-to-one sessions on Career Coaching which gave me an opportunity to step back and think where I really wanted to go in my career and how I might achieve these ambitions. Over the past year, I have been on a number of SSDP modules, including ‘Winning business’, ‘Financial skills for senior solicitors’ and ‘Remaining in control of demanding situations’. As a result, I’ve become much more commercially minded and now have a greater understanding of what makes a law firm profitable. The SSDP really helps you move forward in your career.”
