Companies Act 2006: changes to be made on 1 October 2008

On 1 October this year the next round of changes made by the Companies Act 2006 will be coming into force. All companies will be affected by the new rules on directors' conflicts of interest, and private companies will be given more flexibility to reduce their share capital without going to court and to use their assets to assist someone to acquire their shares, or shares in their parent company.
