Financial institutions - regulatory zone

Law-Now
15.07.2011

The RegZone is aimed at regulated financial institutions of all kinds.  It is also directly relevant to directors and employees who are individually regulated by FSA.  It is of interest to regulators and to other bodies involved with financial regulation.  Please click here to watch our introductory RegZone video.

You can navigate the RegZone by sector - this enables you to look at issues relevant to a particular sector; click on the relevant sector below to find materials relevant to your part of the industry. On each page you will find a regulatory outlook, which sets out the key issues for your sector. Each page also directs you to a host of more detailed analyses of the topics relevant to your area.

Topic list - you can also browse our topic list covering a wide range of regulatory issues relevant to financial institutions. You can select any topic of interest to view the detailed materials and tools on that subject, including ARROW; client assets and living wills; corporate governance (including reform of remuneration regulation); FSA investigations and enforcement; regulation in Europe and many more.

The demise of the FSA: the new regulatory order - read about how the Government's plans to abolish the FSA and create a new Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA, formerly known as the CPMA) will affect regulated firms.  This page contains information on the proposed new European System of Financial Supervision.  Our RegZone institutional reform charts show international, European and UK institutions - the current position and proposed changes.

What's new on the RegZone - The RegZone Online Update brings you latest reports on hot topics on the reform agenda and a full list of new RegZone materials and those that have been updated in the last month. It also provides comprehensive new coverage from our monitoring reports. Click above for the latest version of our update.

A timeline for reform - The timeline sets out dates for key developments, such as consultation periods and publication dates for future reports and implementation dates for rule changes - colour coded to show UK, EU and international developments.  The timeline is also available for Complinet subscribers to view at www.complinet.com.

RegZone library and FSA database - this is organised so you can view CMS publications - such as:

  • Articles and Powerpoints
  • A report on regulatory developments in each of 14 areas using our daily monitoring feed with links to thousands of relevant publications from the UK, EU and international authorities and other bodies.
  • Our database of FSA materials such as FSA enforcement notices and Upper Tribunal decisions.
